For more than two decades, I've worked with high-achieving professionals, executives, leaders, and founders who appear successful by every measure yet quietly struggle beneath the surface.

After seeing the same hidden pattern across thousands of clinical and coaching hours — and recognizing parts of it in myself — I gave it a name: Career Distress Response. This work challenges conventional thinking about burnout by offering a broader framework for understanding the hidden psychological and physiological costs of modern success.

Through writing, clinical frameworks, research, and advisory work, I am pioneering Career Health as a field dedicated to understanding how our careers shape our health, relationships, identity, and quality of life.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Columbia University and hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and an MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I have appeared on The Today Show, Forbes, NPR, and other major media outlets, and was recognized by Hispanic Business Magazine as one of the 50 Most Influential Latinos in the United States. The Great Unraveling is my first book.
